Welcome Gaurav Shahlot as Head of Product at Khatabook

After yet another year of solid business growth, Khatabook, India’s leading Fintech startup, continues to attract key talent. Today, the company announced Gaurav Shahlot’s appointment as Head of Product at Khatabook. Having reached 10Mn+ monthly active merchant users spread in almost every district in India in a 3-years of the business journey from its inception in Jan 2019, Khatabook plans to continue to drive growth by seamless product experience under Gaurav’s product leadership.

Gaurav Shahlot will oversee product initiatives for the company. His key focus area would be to scale the products and shape up the product team positioned to deliver the business objectives efficiently. A seasoned leader in product management, Gaurav comes with a track record of building amazing products at scale. Before joining Khatabook, Gaurav worked with Hotstar, where he headed product management to make Hotstar the largest subscription-based video streaming platform over the last 5.5 years. Before Hotstar, Gaurav worked with Myntra, leading mobile products.

Always keen on creating products, Gaurav co-founded Musicfellas in 2012, a music discovery platform to help users listen, share, and support independent music all over the world, which was later acquired by Times Internet. An alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, he has completed his BE, Computer Science. Gaurav believes in using the power of technology to create equal opportunity in society and, hence, is very excited about contributing to Khatabook’s mission.
